ICE raids have already torn 1,500 people from their families in Massachusetts — and ICE has vowed to ramp up enforcement.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we reached our initial $30,000 goal (Fundrazr + cash & checks). But the crisis is growing faster than we could have imagined. As the sweeps intensify, so does the need.

Why Are These Funds Needed?
Casa has been called up to aid families caught up in recent deportation efforts. There is an acute need for emergency funds for legal assistance and to care for separated families.
Families have been torn apart and community systems de-stabilized by these recent immigration sweeps leading to the aggressive detention and incarceration of individuals who not only serve as family breadwinners, but also as community pillars. Their challenges–including cruel detention by federal authorities–translate to costly legal expenses, housing and food insecurity, children losing parents, medical and transportation challenges, as well as the need for emotional comfort and mental health support.

- Transportation to work, school, and important appointments

- Crisis support and comfort items
- And the everyday needs now made difficult by a devastating situation.

Just two examples… A leader in the Ecuadorian community in Milford was pulled over, detained by ICE, and is now separated from his four US citizen children.
A van with five workers from Metrowest was pulled over by police in Maine and held for two hours at the side of the road until ICE showed up and put them in detention.
