SUMMARY:Task Force Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Monthly meeting of the Needham Area Immigration Justice Task Force. Everyone is welcome! \nDirections\nIf you are coming for the first time\, from Great Plain Ave\, turn onto Linden Street and turn right into the church parking lot. The door with the Noah’s Ark sign on it is the very first door you will see on your right as you begin to pass by the church building. If you are on time or a bit late\, someone will be at the door and point you to the room. \nPlease try to arrive on time as we have a full agenda\, but if you are unavoidably late\, turn left as you come to the door with the Noah’s Ark sign on it and walk around the building. Go up the first set of wooden stairs that you see and knock so we can let you in.

SUMMARY:The Shifting Sands of Immigrant Rights: From the Border to Boston (Lane Lyceum)
DESCRIPTION:How do this administration’s changes to immigration law and policy impact migrants at the border? How do they affect noncitizens in Boston? How have these actions been challenged\, and what can be done to help? We will be discussing how these policies and practices affect humans seeking safety in the United States. There will be a few short videos and an opportunity for questions. \nHeather Yountz is an immigration attorney in Cambridge who has been involved in several high-profile immigration cases. She recently volunteered in Tijuana with migrants seeking asylum at the border\, and she plans to return to the border in the coming months. \n9:15 am in the Parlor (First Parish)
